Dear Parents- We are experiencing something new to all of us and doing the best we can in this current situation. My ask is do the best you can with the e-learning and packets. Don't get bogged down with the detals such as the 300 minutes or the exact times to sign-in.
Bus riders will be called with the specific time to be at their stop in the morning for lunch pickup. If your student does not ride a bus, you can pick up the lunch from 4 locations between 11:00 a.m to 12:30 p.m. Locations are VJHS, Jefferson, Washington, and Lincoln Schools.
E-Learning Materials are being sent home today with each student. Students in grades 2-12 are being sent home with a Chromebook and a Charger to help with E-learning activities. Students and Parents: Please check your emails as more specific information will be sent daily.
All delivery orders for the Grab and Go lunch tomorrow are due by noon today. Otherwise parents/guardians will need to pick up at VJHS tomorrow at 11:30 a.m. You can still signup after the deadline (noon today) It will be available the next day (3.18.2020) for delivery.

The Governor has given the directive/mandate that all schools both public and private will be closed from March 17th to March 30th. We will have school on Monday, March 16th. More details to follow.

An e-learning plan is being put in place in the event we would need to close. Please know this is planning and communicating right now. Our goal is to keep our schools open working with FCHD and the IL Department of Public Health.

Proud to announce we were awarded a $50,000 School Maintenance Grant today from the IL State Board of Education! This will be applied to one of our summer projects- the Okaw HVAC replacement.
ATTENTION ALL PAST HONOR CHORUS MEMBERS: We are celebrating 38 years of Honor Chorus along with tribute to Carol Osborne. We would like to invite you (any past Honor Chorus member, any age) to sing the final song, "Fight Song" by Rachel Patten, of our performance with the Honor Chorus students this year. Vandals defeat Mt. Carmel 23 to 20 and advance to the next round in the playoffs next week. The Vandals are now 11-0.
Parent Teacher Conferences are Scheduled for October 24th from 3pm to 6pm and October 25th from 8am to 12pm.
The students in PreK, K, and 1st grade will be playing in the inflatable bounce house on Friday, August 30. They will need to wear socks to school on this day.
