🎒We are officially back to in-person learning tomorrow, Wednesday, Jan. 28th. While we’ve enjoyed our e-learning days, we’re ready to have the classrooms full again.
❄️Since it’s still a "winter wonderland" out there, please remember to dress warmly and give yourselves a few extra minutes for the morning commute.

We have had a great Spirit Week at VJHS. The week will conclude with a pep assembly Friday, 1/23 beginning at approximately 2:40pm. The cheerleaders, volleyball team, wrestlers and boys' basketball team members will be introduced. Also, the 7th grade boys' basketball recent Regional Championship will be highlighted and given a positive "send-off" to the Litchfield Sectional game on Monday, 1/26 versus East St. Louis Lincoln! Go Vandals!

All families should have received an email from our Stopfinder app. If you have not received an email, please notify the transportation department. ALL FAMILIES are asked to review and confirm that their child’s transportation information is correct (even if your child does not normally ride the bus!).
Additionally, students are no longer permitted to ride the bus with other students due to overcrowding. If a student is having a sleepover or has an additional student staying with them, families must make alternate transportation arrangements to and from school.

8th grade literature students recently finished reading the novel A Long Walk to Water by Linda Sue Park. This story highlights the ongoing water crisis in South Sudan. Students turned their learning into action by collecting change to send to the charity featured in the novel. They collected $266.32 in total for “Water for South Sudan.”
Members of National Junior Honor Society at VJHS helped the faculty and staff at VES by wrapping Christmas presents.
Officially welcoming our newest class into the National Junior Honor Society! We couldn't be prouder of the 38 students being recognized for their amazing accomplishments. Congrats to all!

Due to a shortage of drivers, we need to cut one bus route beginning in the second semester. This change will take effect on January 6, 2026.
You will receive an email invitation to download our new app, Stopfinder. Once you download the app, please open it and scroll to January 6 to view your child’s updated stop, bus, and pickup time. We encourage you to review the schedule for every day of the week to ensure it is correct. Times will be updated over the next week as drivers drive and learn new routes, and update their times accordingly.

🏀 Ramsey has canceled HS Girls Basketball for tonight(12/2/25). The game will be rescheduled at a later date.
🏀 Pana has canceled JH Boys Basketball for tonight(12/2/25). The game will now be played Wednesday(12/3) at Vandalia JH with 6th grade starting at 5pm
All other events for 12/2 are on as scheduled.
