With the new school year starting this Friday, we want to make sure you have the most up-to-date transportation information for your student. Please note that some bus routes have changed for this school year.
Please log in to Stopfinder as soon as possible to review your student’s current bus route, bus stop, and pick-up and drop-off times. We have also sent an email with your student’s updated transportation schedule. Please check your spam folder for these emails. One change that has been made since the emails were sent out today is that Bus 6 has been changed to Bus 5.
If you are unable to access Stopfinder or need a new invitation, please contact the Transportation Department. We will be happy to help you get connected.
Please take a few minutes to review this information before Friday so your child is ready for their first day of school.

Tryouts for VJHS Baseball for incoming 6th, 7th & 8th grade boys will be Monday, August 3 - Friday, August 7 from 8-10 am on Pit Field.
Parent Meeting will be Tuesday, August 4, 2026 at 5:30pm in the VJHS Cafeteria.

Open Gym for girls' basketball has been cancelled for tomorrow 7/29/26.
4th grade teachers will have an open house on Thursday, August 13 from 4pm-5:30pm.
Students may bring their school supplies and meet their teacher. We look forward to a great school year at VJHS.
I wanted to let everyone know that, due to our current driver shortage, we have had to eliminate a couple of bus routes. As a result, bus routes and pickup/drop-off times will change for the upcoming school year.
To help keep routes running on time and improve safety, some families in the country will be asked to meet the bus at designated corner stops instead of individual pickup locations.
I am still working on finalizing routes, as student registration begins and new students continue to enroll.
If you have not completed the Transportation Request Form, please do so as soon as possible. Students who do not have a completed transportation form on file will not be assigned to a bus route. As routes are finalized and buses reach capacity, families who have not submitted the required form will need to provide their own transportation until a route assignment can be made.
We understand these changes may be inconvenient, and we sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to provide safe and efficient transportation for all students.
Finally, if you know someone who would be interested in becoming a school bus driver, please encourage them to apply. We will help qualified applicants obtain their Class B CDL with Passenger Endorsement and Illinois School Bus Permit. They can be part of the solution and make a real difference for our students.

(There is no need to add any extra money to your student's breakfast/lunch account. Any amount that is in there will be rolled over to the general fund, so there may be credits to apply to your account)
