Yesterday was our first day with clay in our new ceramics/pottery class with Mrs. Renfro! We are making pinch pot monsters.

You might not need this today, but in a few weeks you'll wish you ordered a blanket from the Wrestling Team! This fundraiser runs from Sept. 6th - Sept 19th! See flyer for more details!

Check out Mrs. Kelly & Cherokee! Twinning is winning! Great minds think—and dress—alike.

VCHS will be having their annual Homecoming Parade on Sept. 25 @ 1:30. We would like to encourage any local businesses or organizations to participate in the parade. To register for the parade, please click the link below. Any questions can be emailed to rwillenborg@vandals203.org.

We are proud to announce that we are officially recognized as a Project ADAM Illinois Heart Safe School!
Project ADAM Illinois is a statewide initiative focused on preventing sudden cardiac death in schools and communities. As part of a national network, the program works with schools and organizations to establish Heart Safe environments by implementing Cardiac Emergency Response Plans (CERPs), ensuring access to AEDs, and providing CPR/AED training. The goal is to ensure staff and communities are prepared to respond quickly and effectively in the event of a sudden cardiac arrest.
A special THANK YOU to Officer Roedl and our School Nurses (Melissa, Brittany, & Kerri) for working hard to certify all of our schools!

Vandals,
We need your help!
We have been entered into the T-Mobile Friday Night 5G Lights contest for a chance to win $5,000 as part of their $5K Fridays Sweepstakes! They’re celebrating small-town high school football, giving upgrades to schools and awarding a $1 million game-changing grand prize. It could be us IF we stand-out. A STRONG social media presence is what it's going to take to get recognition & HOPEFULLY some prize money to go towards are outdoor "stadium" renovations.
What I need you all to do is:
Start engaging our community by posting on social media, tagging our school’s social handles and @tmobile AND use the hashtags #FN5GL and #Entry to boost our chances of winning $5K Fridays and increase visibility to earn a spot as a finalist.
Students & Vandals football fans, PLEASE post pictures & videos from games with the hashtags mentioned, on ALL of your social media accounts. Let's show them our Vandal Pride & why we deserve to win!
Visit the How to Win T-Mobile Friday Night 5G Lights page for inspiration and tips on what it takes to stand out in this year's competition.
Don’t forget to stay up to date by checking out www.fridaynight5Glights.com for key information on the program.
PLEASE help get the word out & share posts with these tags: #FN5GL #Entry
Thank you all so much!
GO, Vandals!

Transportation 26/27
With the new school year starting this Friday, we want to make sure you have the most up-to-date transportation information for your student. Please note that some bus routes have changed for this school year.
Please log in to Stopfinder as soon as possible to review your student’s current bus route, bus stop, and pick-up and drop-off times. We have also sent an email with your student’s updated transportation schedule. Please check your spam folder for these emails. One change that has been made since the emails were sent out today is that Bus 6 has been changed to Bus 5.
If you are unable to access Stopfinder or need a new invitation, please contact the Transportation Department. We will be happy to help you get connected.
Please take a few minutes to review this information before Friday so your child is ready for their first day of school.
Thank you for your cooperation and support. We look forward to safely transporting your child throughout the school year!
