Princess Party Smackdown Written By: Don Zolidis Presented By: The June Squibb Theatrical Society
Admission: $5 for Adults, Free for students
Synopsis: Olivia's seventh birthday party is going to be amazing. Her mother is going to make sure of it. That's why she's hired 2 different princesses, a fairy, an adorable baby horse, a rabbit suffering an identity crisis, and a weird alien thing to show up. But Olivia's outrageous demands lead to an improv-ed princess show that ends in bloody noses, animal sacrifice, and probably an alien takeover of the planet.

Vandalia High School is seeking prom dresses and tuxedos to have available for our students for next year's prom. We are grateful for the generous donations we've received, which help ensure that all students can dress up for this special occasion.
Please drop off donations at the VCHS office, Monday-Friday, during school hours.
Contact Beth Kern or Kim Major for more information!

Sophia Krueger, Abby Tate, and Gabi Estime attended the Youth Advisory Council events last week at the Capitol Building in Springfield sponsored by Senator Plummer and Mr. Curll.
During the YAC event, they heard from numerous state legislators, toured the Capitol, including the Senate floor, and participated in a mock committee hearing in a Senate committee room.
This event allows students to join other students from across the 55th District to learn from community, judicial, and governmental leaders. This event provides an opportunity for the students to engage, perhaps for the first time, in meaningful public policy debates about issues affecting our state. Whether it’s on the local, state, or national level—we need good leaders.

Next Wednesday, on March 26, all freshmen, sophomores, and juniors will be taking state testing: the ACT for juniors, PreACT Secure for sophomores, and PreACT 9 Secure for freshmen. Seniors do not need to attend school that day. We kindly ask for your help in ensuring our students come prepared with fully charged Chromebooks, a good night’s rest, and a healthy breakfast to set them up for success. Juniors will be allowed to leave after testing, which should conclude around 12:45. Freshmen and sophomores will return to their regular schedule once testing is completed.

FCCLA Club members took a trip to the CEFS Food Pantry today. While there they helped unload the food delivery and stocked and organized the shelves. So rewarding seeing our students volunteering their time to help our community!
