Bella LaMonica, Trinity Taylor, and Kyleigh Roman attended the Youth Advisory Council events last fall at Kaskaskia College and this week at the Capitol Building in Springfield sponsored by Senator Plummer and Mr. Curll. The YAC provides students a unique opportunity to experience the complexities of governing, it allows them to engage in public policy debates, and reinforces a commitment to civic duty, the importance of public policy, and demonstrates how to be an effective leader.
