
At IHSA State Girls Bowling Tournament at The Cherry Bowl in Rockford
Lady Vandals Sophomore Bowler Madison Ferguson took 17th place today in the State Bowling Tournament. After advancing on Friday, Madison today bowled an average game of 203.6 with high games of 256 and 233


There will be a fan bus going to Shelbyville on Tuesday, February 25th to support our VCHS wrestlers at Dual Team Sectionals in Shelbyville. Sign up in the office if you would like to go and support our wrestlers. You must pay $6.00 at time of sign up - which you will get back when you board the bus that evening. The bus will be departing the high school at 4:30 pm on Tuesday!

There will be a Vandal Pride assembly on Friday, February 28th. Instead of class colors, students should wear their black Vandal Strong shirts or their white JP + HL shirts for a yearbook picture. Plain white or black shirts are also acceptable.

This young lady is headed to state! Way to go Madison!

Detective Chris Coyne, a 23 year veteran of the Troy Illinois Police Department and 20 year D.A.R.E officer, presents to VCHS students on the harmful effects of heroin and prescription drug abuse.

Community members and parents: Please join us at the high school tomorrow, Thursday February 13th in the gym at 8:30 am.Detective Chris Coyne (Retired) is a 23 year veteran of the Troy (Illinois) Police Department. He served the community and the Triad School District as the D.A.R.E Officer for 20 years, during which time he instructed approximately 7,000 5th and 6th grade students about the harmful effects of drugs and the importance of good decision making. In 2012, Detective Coyne developed FIGHTIN' THE STRUGGLE, a very powerful and emotional heroin and prescription drug abuse presentation that he has delivered to over 76,000 students, teachers and school administrators in schools throughout the area, as well as parents at numerous community events. Through Fightin' The Struggle, Detective Coyne stresses to the students the importance of choosing their friends carefully, recognizing and managing peer pressure, and making appropriate choices. Detective Coyne shares his personal experiences of various investigations and interactions with those suffering from the disease of addiction.

Saving Lives! Student Council Winter Blood Drive





ALL VCHS Winter Activities (Boys Basketball, Girls Basketball, Wrestling, & Scholar Bowl) Practices will end at 3:30 pm today.

Vandalia Schools will be dismissing early today, Wednesday, February 5th due to the potential winter weather. VES will dismiss at 2:00pm; VJHS and VCHS will dismiss at 2:15pm.
