Credit Recovery
If you are interested in credit recovery for a math or English class that you have failed you have 2 options:
Summer School - Summer school is free and will be offered in person at Vandalia High School from Monday - Friday May 24 - June 21. Students need to email Mrs. Kern (bekern@vandals203.org) or Mrs. Major (kmajor@vandals203.org) to sign up. Times are as follows:
8am-11am - any Math Credit Recovery
11:30pm-2:30pm - any English Credit Recovery
Illinois Virtual High School Credit Recovery - This is a virtual option. You will need to sign up at ilvirtual.org for the credit recovery course you need. You must pay in the high school office before the course will be approved. The cost is $95 per semester course and you have 12 weeks to complete the course.
If you have failed a required course and do not do the credit recovery you will be put back in the course to recover the credit. If you have any questions please contact Mrs. Kern or Mrs. Major.

We are so excited for you all to return tomorrow! Please arrive as close to 8:00 am as possible. When you arrive you will be directed to the cafeteria, gym or your first period class. Please do not walk the hallways unless you are on your way to the first period class.

At Vandalia Community High School with school now being Monday-Thursday for all students, (beginning January 20th) the tutoring hours have changed. We will have after school tutoring Monday-Thursday from 2:40-4:00.
Clarification:
If you signed up to be all-remote for 2nd semester, you will still be all-remote.
This morning’s announcement about the school’s decision to move to the 100% All-In learning model starting Jan 20th applies to the students who have chosen to be in person.
We have a lot to celebrate as we enter 2021! We hit a Trifecta to begin the new year. What is the Trifecta you might ask? We hit our COVID metrics two weeks in a row AND all staff that had signed up for the COVID vaccination clinic on 1-9 were able to receive the first dose of the vaccine. Thank you FCHD! On the metrics, our positivity rate for data released on 1-8 once congregate setting positive cases are backed out is 7.2%.

This is just a reminder that Meal sign up will close at 3:00 pm today, Monday, January 4th. If you have already filled out the form for your student(s) you do not have to fill it out again. The original message is below:
Vandalia Community Unit School District #203 will be all-remote when we return from Christmas break. We will be providing breakfast and lunch meal pick-up for all students during the all-remote learning session (Wednesday, January 6th- Friday, January 15th).
