Parent Checklist
Helpful tips for checking grades and missing assignments for your child
1. The quickest way to know if your child is missing an assignment or test is to check their “Teacherease” grade book. There you will not only see their grade but can also view whether your child is missing any work or has 0’s.
2. Your child should check their email daily, this is the best and most efficient way to communicate with their teachers.
3. Each teacher has set up a Google Classroom where your child receives information about assignments, tests, announcements, and even videos of teaching lectures.
Your child should be checking their google classroom classwork and stream information, daily. I would suggest checking it twice a day.
4. In each Google Classroom there is a box on the top left labeled To-Do. There is an Assigned, Missing, and Done section. The Assigned Section will indicate upcoming assignments or tests. However, if your child only looks at this, and does not take the time to look at the material or other announcements that the teacher has added, they may not understand how to do the assignment. They will miss valuable information that the teacher added to complete the task. Assignments also will disappear from this section after the due date, so it is important that they are looking at the Classwork and Stream Sections as well. They must look at ALL the information daily in each of their classes, not just the box of upcoming assignments.
