VCUSD #203 will be dismissing school early on Friday, January 17th for a school improvement day-Dismissal Times are as follows: VES-11:30 AM; VJHS-11:30 AM 4th Grade walkers/pick-ups/early bus students and 11:45 AM Grades 5th to 8th ; VCHS-11:45 AM. There will be No Pre-K Classes. Also, there will be no school on Monday, January 20th in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. School will resume on Tuesday, January 21st

Vandalia CUSD #203 will be using an E-Learning day tomorrow, Tuesday, January 7th due to inclement weather and road conditions.
Due to inclement weather, Vandalia CUSD #203 will be using an E-Learning day on Monday, January 6th. Please check your emails for more information.
Vandalia CUSD #203 is seeking dependable applicants for the position of Substitute Cook with potential for a full-time position. The substitute Cook will perform the following duties: Helps prepare and serve daily meals according to the printed menu, responsible for the cleanliness of the kitchen including equipment and appliances, wash service area, dishes, trays, pots/pans by hand, with sprayer and industrial dishwasher, complies with all county health rules and regulations, ability to communicate with students, parents, and staff in an acceptable/courteous manner, complies with established sanitation standards, personal hygiene, and health standards, may be required to perform additional tasks as required by head cook. You must be able to lift up to 48 lbs and the ability to push and pull up to 30 lbs.
Substitute pay is $15.00 an hour.
All candidates are subject to a Criminal Background, and Fingerprint process. High School diploma or equivalent required.
Applications may be picked up and or turned in at Vandalia Administration Office, 1109 North 8th Street, Vandalia, IL 62471. Located on the Southwest side of the Vandalia High School, door number 9.

Pre-K AM 8:00 – 11:00 Pre-K PM 12:00 - 2:00 . VJHS – 2:00 PM 4th Grade walkers/pick-ups/and early bus students; 2:15 PM - 5th thru 8th Grades . VCHS - 2:15 PM. There will be NO school from Monday, December 23rd thru Friday, January 3rd. School will resume on Monday, January 6th

4th Grade – 2:00 PM walkers/pick-ups/and early bus students; and 5th thru 8th Grades – 2:15 PM. VCHS - 2:15 PM. There will be no school on Wednesday, November 27th, Thursday, November 28th, and Friday, November 29th. School will resume on Monday, December 2nd.
Mrs. Goodin's and Mrs. Campbell’s classes came together today to make banana bread to donate to the #HopeForHudson fundraiser. The kids learned a lesson in helping those in need and supporting Hudson and his family during this time.
