Important online registration update:
Thank you all for notifying us about the recurring payment issue within Teacherease. At this time, we ask that you only try paying once for your registration, even if you receive an error. Registration is still open and active; we ask that you try to pay once and report if you receive an error. This gives Teacherease time to resolve the processing errors and allows us to work with them to solidify previous errors.

Online Registration for the 24-25 School Year is now open. Please log into your www.teacherease.com account and register your student(s).
New this school year is the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) for breakfast and lunch. Please see the attached letter from Dr. Garrison explaining this school lunch and breakfast program. All students will receive free breakfast and lunch.
If you need to register your student in person instead of online, you will do so at your child's respective buildings on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, 10:00 am - 6:00 pm.

1st Day of School Information:
- August 16th is the first day of school for grades 4-12.
- August 16th will be a Come and Go Day for grades K-3: 8:30am - 1:30pm
- August 19th is the first full day of school for grades K-3
- August 19th will be a Come and Go Day for PreK AM: 8:30-11:00am; PreK PM: 12:00-2:00pm
- August 20th will be the first day for PreK

This year during In-Person Registration on August 6, 2024, Kim Peery, SBLFCH Pediatric Nurse Practitioner will be offering School and Sports Physicals at VES from 3-6pm for $20.
We will also have a representative from Miles of Smiles here to help you sign up for the program during In-Person Registration. See the attached flyers for more information.

Backpack 2 School
The link for the Fall Transportation Form for the 24/25 School Year is now available for completion. You can access the link on the Vandals App, our website, or your email.
Please fill out the form by July 15th, with as much detail as possible, to help us get your child set up for Transportation. With the shortage of drivers, we may have to rework routes. Also, due to the number of students on late buses, we will need all eligible Pre-K through 4th-grade students to ride the early buses regardless of older siblings. Sorry for this inconvenience.
Please help us start the school year out with the least amount of confusion possible. Also, a reminder if you live within 1.5 miles without an approved hazardous area you are not eligible for transportation.
If you have any questions, please call the transportation line after August 1st at 618-283-8135. This gives us time to work through and set up all of our district students’ transportation.

Final Exams will be held on Tuesday, May 21st and Wednesday, May 22nd with Early Dismissal times as follows:
VES - 2:00 pm walkers/2:10 pm bus students
VJHS - 4th grade 2:00 pm walkers/pickups and early bus students
5th - 8th grade 2:15 pm
VCHS - 2:15 pm
Last Student day is Wednesday, May 22nd.

Freshman Orientation will be on Monday, May 20th. All incoming Freshmen for the 24-25 school year are encouraged to attend with their parents/guardians. There will be a tour and opportunity to speak with coaches and sponsors of athletics, clubs, and organizations offered at VCHS.
