1/16 - HS Wrestling at Highland with Litchfield and Triad begins at 5pm. The original start time was 6pm
1/18 - HS Girls Basketball vs Pinckneyville will now be played at 1:30PM at Vandalia Junior High Gym. Game remains varsity only

Mrs. Lux’s Modern History class created Native American tribe projects. Students made food, model homes, art and told stories.

VCUSD #203 will be dismissing school early on Friday, January 17th for a school improvement day-Dismissal Times are as follows: VES-11:30 AM; VJHS-11:30 AM 4th Grade walkers/pick-ups/early bus students and 11:45 AM Grades 5th to 8th ; VCHS-11:45 AM. There will be No Pre-K Classes. Also, there will be no school on Monday, January 20th in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. School will resume on Tuesday, January 21st
📢 Official Public Notice: Second Notification of National Honor Society Candidate Criteria Update
The Vandalia Community High School National Honor Society is committed to recognizing and upholding excellence in academics, leadership, character, and service.
Effective as of November 25, 2024, at the School Board Meeting, the GPA requirement for National Honor Society candidate consideration has been updated to 3.8 to align with the current grading scale (4.3).
This updated GPA requirement will be used for candidate selection this year and moving forward.
This serves as the second public notification of this important update.
We appreciate the support and understanding of our students, parents, and community as we continue to uphold the highest standards for our chapter.

The Vandalia Community High School National Honor Society Induction Ceremony will take place on Thursday, March 6, at 6:00 PM in the school gymnasium. 🎓✨

The Boys Basketball game at Hamilton County originally scheduled for 1/14/25 has now been moved to Wednesday 1/15/25 with the JV game starting at 5:30pm.
ATTENTION VCHS GIRLS BASKETBALL:
(1/13/25)Tonight's Girls Basketball Game vs South Central will be Varsity Only starting at 6pm in the VCHS gym.
The VHS Competitive Cheer Squad got top 10 (out of 22) for our Small varsity game day division, and 12th (out of 31) for our small varsity routine division! We were behind the number 10 spot by .42 of a point!
We are proud of you girls! Great job!
It’s still on! Our VCHS FCA is hosting a “GLOW IN THE DARK VOLLEYBALL” 5th quarter tonight after the boys basketball game. The boys JV starts at 4:00 with the varsity game to follow. Once the game concludes, we will have nachos & drinks & put up the net. We will end at 10:00pm.
