Vandalia Schools is excited to once again partner with Elissa Townsend, NP, to offer school and sports physicals at the Elementary School on August 10, 2026!
This year, we are also teaming up with the Illinois Department of Public Health to host a vaccination clinic on the same day — making it easier than ever to get your child ready for the new school year in one convenient visit! ✅

This event is open to ALL students in the district. If your child will need a sports physical at any point during the school year, this is a great opportunity to get it taken care of early!
📌 Reminder:
• Illinois requires school physicals for all Pre-K, Kindergarten, 6th grade, and 9th grade students.
• Vaccinations are required for Kindergarten, 6th grade, and 12th grade students.
Please note:
Parents do not need to be present for immunizations as long as all required forms are completed in advance. This is especially helpful for seniors needing their MCV4 (Meningococcal) vaccine, as they may attend independently once paperwork has been submitted.
We are thrilled to bring these valuable services to our community and hope for a fantastic turnout!

Early Dismissal times for Monday and Tuesday are as follows: VES – 2:00 PM; VJHS – 2:00 PM; 4th Grade/walkers/pick-ups/early bus students - 2:15 PM; 5th - 8th Grades; VCHS – 2:15 PM. Vandalia C.U.S.D. 203 is hiring for a Maintenance Director. Anticipated start date is May 26, 2026. Qualifications: Technical training in maintenance, engineering, facilities management, or a related field preferred. Maintenance experience with supervisory responsibility is highly recommended, along with strong knowledge of building systems, preventive maintenance, budgeting, and safety regulations. This is a 12 month position with starting pay based on experience aligned to the qualifications.
