We have a lot to celebrate as we enter 2021! We hit a Trifecta to begin the new year. What is the Trifecta you might ask? We hit our COVID metrics two weeks in a row AND all staff that had signed up for the COVID vaccination clinic on 1-9 were able to receive the first dose of the vaccine. Thank you FCHD! On the metrics, our positivity rate for data released on 1-8 once congregate setting positive cases are backed out is 7.2%.
We will be returning with all our students 4 days a week on January 20th. Please join me in celebrating this wonderful news! #VandalStrong

Vandalia #203 Nurses thank FCHD and FCH! #VandalStrong

Statement from Nurse Joy Lewis:
We are honored and excited to receive the COVID vaccine. We thank the FCHD and FCH for acknowledging our frontline work at the school. School nurses bridge the gap between healthcare and the education worlds. Besides caring for sick students and staff, we play a big role in educating our staff, students, and parents throughout this COVID-19 pandemic. Receiving the safe vaccination on Friday is another way we can hopefully educate and encourage our staff and community to receive this vaccination and promote a healthy and safe school environment for all.

Good morning! Our superhero school nurses received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine on Friday (12-18). I am happy to report that all went well, and they have not experienced any side effects. Tell them thank you for being brave and leading the way for us!
