Notice is hereby given that the Board of Education of Vandalia CUSD 203, Fayette County, Illinois, intends to receive proposals from qualified Design-Build Entities for the renovations/upgrades to the football field bleachers in accordance with the School Design-Build Contracts Article of the Illinois School Code (105 ILCS 5/15A).
1. PROJECT DESCRIPTION & SCOPE
The District is seeking comprehensive design and construction services for renovations/upgrades to the football field bleachers. The project shall include the replacement of all seats, stairs, risers, ramp, pressbox and all related accessories. The selected Design-Build Entity will be responsible for all architectural, engineering, and construction services required to deliver a fully completed and operational project.
2. ESTIMATED PROJECT BUDGET
The total estimated cost for this Design-Build project is $800,000.
3. PROCUREMENT PROCESS
Because the estimated project cost is under $12,000,000, the District will utilize a combined procurement process evaluating qualifications, technical proposals, and cost proposals simultaneously, as permitted by 105 ILCS 5/15A-30.
4. REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP) AVAILABILITY
The formal Request for Proposal (RFP) document, which outlines detailed technical criteria, submission requirements, and evaluation metrics, will be available on Friday, October 9 , 2026, at 9:00 AM CST.

Dear VES, VCHS, and OKAW Families,
We wanted to make you aware that all schools besides VJHS are currently under a boil order, which we anticipate will remain in place through approximately Tuesday.
If your student typically drinks water throughout the school day, you are welcome to send a bottle of water or a filled water bottle with them to school. This is completely optional and is simply an alternative for students who prefer to have their own water while the boil order is in effect.
We will continue to follow all necessary safety precautions at school, have drinking water available and will keep you updated as soon as the boil order has been lifted.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we work to keep our students safe.
