Also, due to the number of students on late buses, we will need all eligible Pre-k through 4th grade students to ride the early buses regardless of older siblings. Sorry for this inconvenience. Please help us start the school year out with the least amount of confusion as possible.
Also, a reminder if you live within 1.5 miles without an approved hazardous area you are not eligible for transportation.

Vandalia Elementary School is hiring a clerk in the office for the 23-24 school year. Primary duties are data entry, cafeteria supervision, management of the lunch system, coordination of fees and deposits, and cooperative duties with the school secretary. Terri Davison spent her career at VES welcoming students, staff, parents, and families in our office for many years. In her memory, we would like to purchase a bench to place in the secure vestibule that will be utilized next year. VCHS Awards Day will be held on Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at 9:00am in the VCHS Gym. Parents and Guests are welcome to attend and we will have the east bleachers reserved for all guests.
VCHS Art Club invites you to our first Vandalia School District Art Show on Friday, April 28th from 6 - 8 pm at Vandalia High School! This Art Show will include art from VES, VJHS, VCHS, and Faculty/Staff. Join us to support all of our school art programs!
Information about Vandalia Pool for the 2023 Season
Vandalia Elementary School is currently pre-registering students entering Kindergarten during the 2023-24 school year. In lieu of in-person registration, please register your child anytime during normal working hours at the VES office between now and May 1st, 2023. Pre-registration paperwork was distributed by all local daycares. If you need a pre-registration packet or have any questions, please contact the VES office at 618-283-5166.
